Enhanced Search WidgetRefresh the Web App.
The Web App opens the Enhanced Search Widget and the Layer List Widget upon startup.
You can search for any Parcel by its Parcel Number, Address or Owner Name.
Click on the down arrow and select Address.
You are going to search for the County Administration Building located at this address:
301 W JEFFERSON ST
Phoenix, AZ 85003
Leave the Zip Code field empty. There is enough information to run a search.
Note: The case does not matter.
Press Search
The map zooms to the County Administration Building.
The Parcel is highlighted in orange.
The Results Panel shows you the Parcel Number, Address and Owner Name.
Parcel Number = 112-19-038A
Address = 301 W JEFFERSON ST
City = PHOENIX
Zip = 85003
Owner Name = County of Maricopa
In addition, you get a list of Web Links.
Click on the Assessor Web Link.
This opens the Assessor’s Website showing additional information on this Parcel.
Click on this Search Result.
A cyan boundary is drawn around the selected parcel.
A popup panel appears showing additional Parcel Attributes.
Open the Popup Panel Widget
This makes it a lot easier to view the Parcel Attributes.
You are now going to find all the Parcels within 200ft of this selected Parcel and download all the information into an Excel Spreadsheet.
Open the Layer List Widget and turn on the Parcel Layer.
This shows the Parcel boundaries and the Parcel Numbers.
The selected parcel is highlighted in orange.
Open the By Spatial tab on the Enhanced Search Widget.
Enter a buffer distance of 200ft
Click on the Buffer Tool.
A 200ft buffer is drawn around your selected Parcel.
Now you need to find all the Parcels that are intersected by this green buffer zone.
Click on the Intersected By Tool.
Select the Buffer option.
This highlights all the Parcels that are intersected by the 200ft buffer.
The Results Panel show that 13 Parcels have been selected.
Expand the Action Menu.
From the Action Menu items, select Export to CSV file
You can open the Search Results_Parcel.csv file in Excel and do further analysis.
You can also search for any Parcel by entering the Owner Name.
Open the By Value Tab.
Click on the down arrow and select Owner Name
Accept the example Owner Name = CAFFARELLA JOSEPH
Note: You must enter the Last name followed by the First Name.
The case does not matter.
Press Search
The search finds one parcel belonging to this owner.
The map zooms to the selected parcel.
The selected parcel is highlighted in orange.
Click on the Result.
This opens the Popup Panel Widget.
You are now going to find information on neighboring parcels by drawing a shape on the map.
Open the By Shape Tab.
With the Extent Tool active, draw a rectangle on the map to intersect two parcels.
The Results Panel will show the two Parcels that you have selected.
The Extent Tool is a convenient way of selecting multiple parcels.
You may also select Parcels one at a time by using the Point Tool.
Open the By Shape Tab.
Engage the Point Tool.
Click on any Parcel.
This will highlight the Parcel in orange.
The Results Panel will show the Parcel information.
Click on the Result. This will update the Popup Panel Information.
The selected parcel will show a cyan boundary.
You may also select more than one parcel by enabling multi-part graphics.
Press Clear
Enable multi-part graphics.
Activate the Point Tool.
Click to select any two parcels
Click on the Search button.
The Results Panel will show the information on the two selected parcels.
You may also drop one or more points on the map and select all the parcels that fall within a given radius of these points.
Open the By Shape Tab
Press Clear
Check the Buffer Graphic option.
Activate the Point Tool.
The default buffer distance is 300ft.
This will draw a circle of radius 300ft around your points.
Drop two points on the map.
Click on the Search button.
This will draw 2 green circles of radius 300ft around your 2 points.
Next, it will proceed to highlight all the parcels that intersect these two buffer zones.
In this example, 25 Parcels have been found.
This graphic shows the selected parcels highlighted in orange.
You may also use the Enhanced Search Widget to find a Subdivision, Zip Code, City, Township/Range or Section.
Open the By Value Tab.
The default Search Layer is Parcel.
Click on the down arrow for the Search Layer and select Zip Code.
Click on the down arrow next to Zip Code to reveal a list of all the valid Zip Codes within Maricopa County.
Select 85007
Press Search
The map will zoom to Zip Code 85007.
The selected Zip Code will be highlighted in orange.
