Measure a Distance

 
Press Clear to clear the results.
 
Click to activate the Distance Tool.
 
 
The default Distance Unit = International Feet.
 
Click on the down arrow to see the other Distance Units you may use:
 
 
Note:
 
Feet = International Feet (based on 1inch = 2.54cm exact)
 
Feet (US) = US Survey Foot (based on 1 US Survey Foot = 1200/3937 meters)
 
Move your mouse over the lower left corner of the Parcel.
 
Click once to establish the start point of your line segment.
 
 
Notice the blue line as you move your mouse.
 
Move your mouse to the upper left corner of the Parcel.
 
 
The Measurement Result updates as you move your mouse.
 
The length of the line segment = 156.5 feet.
 
Click to add a vertex.
 
 
Move your mouse to the upper right corner of the Parcel.
 
Double Click to end the Line.
 
The total length of this line comprising of two line segments is 457.1 feet.
 
 
Remember:
 
Start your line with a single click.
 
Add additional vertices with single clicks.
 
Double Click to end your line.
