The visibility of the Layers are dependent on the Scale.
Click on the Zoom Out Tool several times.
As you zoom out, the Footprint Layer will become invisible.
You can now see that the 2004 Imagery does not cover the entire County.
At this scale the Footprint Layer is outside the visible range.
The Footprint Layer name is grayed out in the Layer List.
Scale dependencies make it possible to show a lot of information on the map without making the display appear cluttered.
As you zoom in, more details will be revealed.
Next, you will explore the Parcel Layer superimposed on top of the 2016 Imagery Layer.
Turn off the 2004 Imagery Layer.
Turn on the 2016 Imagery Layer and its Footprint Layer.
Turn on Parcel.
Expand Parcel, and turn on Subdivision.
At this scale, these layers are not visible.
This is why the layer names appear grayed out.
Click on the Zoom In Tool several times.
The Highways will become visible.
The Major Arterials will appear.
The Footprint Boundaries will appear in pink.
The Subdivision boundaries will appear in blue.
The date stamps will appear.
The Parcel Boundaries will appear in brown.
The Local Street Names and Subdivision Names will appear.
As you zoom in closer, you will see the Parcel Numbers.
Note: The Parcel Layer shows the current Parcel Boundaries and Parcel Numbers.
The Parcel Layer does not change to reflect what it looked like when you select an older aerial imagery.
Parcel boundaries are not static. They merge and split with time. You only get to see the current state.
Turn on the Township Range Section Layer.
Parcel 102-40-540 is within Township T2 North, Range R1 East.
Parcel 102-40-540 belongs to Subdivision MARYVALLE TERRACE 58.
